"El Show de Agatha Christie" in Zaragoza (Centro de Historias)
 

Contemporánea and the Centro de Historias de Zaragoza present the exhibition 'The Agatha Christie Show', the first major exhibition on the queen of crime that brings together in Spain unpublished material and collections of the works of the most famous author of the genre: Agatha Christie. The exhibition, curated by Juan José Montijano, can be visited from February 22 to July 21. 'Agatha Christie's Show' takes the witness of the entire life and professional career of this author, undoubtedly marked by the progress in the achievements of women in the field of detective novels, traditionally assigned to the male genre and influenced by famous writers such as Edgar Allan Poe and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The exhibition, through its different modules, tells the life and professional story of a woman ahead of her time, cultivator of all literary genres: narrative, short stories, poetry, theater, children's stories..., through a wide sample of her works as well as her influence in the field of audiovisual and cultural media: cinema, television, pop culture... The exhibition includes audiovisuals and more than 500 objects related to Christie's particular universe: the Ten Little Indians, the model of the Orient Express, pens, posters, soundtracks, photographs, a 1920 Remington pistol like the one Christie owned, a replica of a 1920 Orient Express lamp, poison bottles, stilettos, letter openers, an original Egyptian guidebook from the ITC "Poirot" series used by David Suchet, autographs, dolls, games, films.....'The Agatha Christie Show' is organized thematically and analyzes the life and work of Agatha Christie and her great impact on the production of crime and noir-related themes in all the arts, be it literature, theater, or audiovisual arts, such as radio, cinema or television. The narrative journey of the exhibition passes through the following sections: Ballad for the Lady of Crime, A Line is Murder, Necrology for the Queen of Crime, Planning the Perfect Crime, A Murder is Announced, and, finally, a documentary on the life and work of the author.
 
   

   

Contemporánea y el Centro de Historias de Zaragoza presentan la exposición "El Show de Agatha Christie", la primera gran exposición sobre la reina del crimen que reúne en España material inédito y las colecciones de las obras de la autora más célebre del género: Agatha Christie. La exposición, comisariada por Juan José Montijano, podrá visitarse del 22 de febrero al 21 de julio. "El Show de Agatha Christie" recoge el testigo de toda la trayectoria vital y profesional de esta autora, marcada, indudablemente, por el avance en los logros de la mujer en el campo de la novela policiaca, tradicionalmente adscrita al género masculino e influida por célebres escritores como Edgar Allan Poe o Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. La exposición, a través de sus distintos módulos, cuenta la historia vital y profesional de una mujer avanzada a su tiempo, cultivadora de todos los géneros literarios: narrativa, relato corto, poesía, teatro, cuentos para niños…, mediante una amplísima muestra de sus obras así como su influencia en el ámbito de los medios audiovisuales y culturales: cine, televisión, cultura pop… La muestra incluye audiovisuales y más de 500 objetos relacionados con el particular universo de Christie: los diez negritos, la maqueta del Orient Express, plumas, carteles, bandas sonoras, fotografías, una pistola Remington de 1920 como la que Christie tenía, una réplica de lámpara de 1920 del Oriente Express, botellas de veneno, estiletes, abrecartas, una guía original de Egipto de la serie de ITC «Poirot» usada por David Suchet, autógrafos, muñecos, juegos, películas.... "El Show de Agatha Christie" se organiza por temáticas y analiza la vida y la obra de Agatha Christie y su gran repercusión en la producción de la temática relacionada con el crimen y con el género negro en todas las artes, sea la literatura, sea el teatro, o las artes audiovisuales, como la radio, el cine o la televisión. El recorrido narrativo de la exposición pasa por las siguientes secciones: “Balada para la Dama del crimen”, “A pie de línea es asesinato”, “Necrología para la Reina del crimen”, “Planeando el crimen perfecto”, “Se anuncia un asesinato”, y, finalmente, un documental sobre la vida y obra de la autora.
