Chema López x Contemporanea
 

Spanish artist Chema Lopez has created 'There will be?', a new limited edition for Contemporanea. Release on May 1st, this limited edition print celebrates her new solo show at the IVAM Museum in Valencia. 'There will be?' is a 6-color screenprint on paper. The measure of the print is 47 x 98 cm (18.50 x 38.58"). This print is signed and numbered by the artist and a text by writer Ricardo Forriols in included in the package, an elegant black tube. There are only 50 copies + 16 A.P.'s of the edition. Considered one of the most important figurative painters from Valencia, Chema Lopez (Albacete, Spain, 1969) reflects something always instable and indeterminate in his artworks in black and white; shows injustice and falsehood, abjection and misery, immorality and perfidy, indignity and depravation, vice and ugliness, betrayal and infamy. In short, the representations of evil as power. He has been a member of the group Purgatory. It has recently been the subject of an anthology in Valencia.

El artista español Chema López ha creado "There will be?", una nueva edición limitada para Contemporánea que se pondrá a la venta el próximo 1 de mayo y que celebra su exposición individual en el Museo IVAM de Valencia. "There will be?" es una serigrafía a 6 tintas sobre papel. La obra tiene unas medidas de 47 x 98 cm y está limitada tan solo a 50 ejemplares y 16 P.A. Está firmada y numerada por el autor y acompañada por un texto del escritor Ricardo Forriols en el elegante tubo que presenta la edición. Chema López (Albacete, 1969) ha realizado hasta la fecha una treintena de exposiciones individuales en Museos y Centros, como el IVAM, Museo ABC, Museo Municipal Albacete, La Nau, Centre d´Art Contemporain ACMDM, Fundació Espais d´Art Contemporani de Girona, Fundación Chirivella-Soriano; y Galerías españolas, como Rosa Santos, Paula Alonso, Valle Orti, I Leornarte, La Aurora, Claramunt o en nuestro Contemporánea Centro de Arte, Granada. Habitual de la feria ARCO desde 1999, también ha participado en las ferias internacionales Art Basel, Art Cologne, Volta Basel y Zona Maco y en numerosas colectivas en España y Europa. Poseen obras suyas la Fundación Chirivella Soriano, Fundación Martínez Guerricabeitia, Universidad Politécnica, Universitat de València, Museo ABC, CAM, ACMDCM, FCDP, CAAM, IVAM y ARTIUM.
